Matt Carroll, Sr. Director Market Access and Custom Analytics at Intuitive, has more than 16 years of evidence-based selling experience, working with key industry stakeholders and economic decision makers across the country. Prior to joining Intuitive, Mr. Carrol served as Director of Market Access at Baxter Healthcare’s Surgical Care Division working directly with regional and national IDN systems, Value Analysis Committees, Health Technology Assessment Committees, payers and policymakers to help breakdown market and patient access barriers.

Outside his professional career, Mr. Carroll proudly served his country in the United States Marines for 8 years, 4 years of which he served as a Squad Leader.

John Dougherty, Sr. Director of Global Genesis Programs, joined Intuitive in July of 2007 from Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA, where he spent several years as the primary first assistant for da Vinci surgery. Since joining Intuitive, Mr. Dougherty has held several roles within the Customer Training, Product Education and Professional Services department, where he is currently responsible for all Genesis Program activities around the world. 

As a proud member of the Genesis team, Mr. Dougherty strives to help hospitals optimize quality, cost, and care by analyzing individual da Vinci programs and introducing best practices to help drive programmatic success.

Genesis Training Manager, Intuitive

Marwan Marzagao is the Genesis Training Manager for the Southeast and West coast. Prior to joining Intuitive as a Clinical Sales Representative in September 2007, Mr. Marzagao was in law enforcement and medical sales. In 2013, he joined the Genesis team where he has overseen and managed both national and international programs. Mr. Marzagao graduated from The Citadel with a BS in Psychology. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese and French.

David Prasad

Service Marketing Manager, Intuitive

David Prasad is the Service Product Marketing Manager at Intuitive and is part of the Services Marketing Department. In this role, Mr. Prasad supports the service organization and the da Vinci Surgery Customer Portal. During his eight-year tenure with Intuitive, he was also part of the Inside Sales Team, selling upgrades directly to Hospitals. Previously, Mr. Prasad held positions at Siemens Medical, Acuson Inc., and General Electric. He has a Bachelor of Science from San Jose State University.

Seth Rosen

Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Seth Rosen received his MD at New York University School of Medicine in 1996. He completed a general surgery residency at the University of Chicago, where he developed an interest in inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer.  Dr. Rosen pursued further training in colorectal surgery, completing a residency in colon and rectal surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in 2002.

Following his training, Dr. Rosen joined Atlanta Colon & Rectal Surgery, working in private practice for 13 years.  During this time, Dr. Rosen developed an interest in robotic-assisted colorectal surgery.  He joined the faculty of the Emory University School of Medicine in 2015, and now spends a considerable amount of his time performing, teaching and developing new techniques related to robotic-assisted colon and rectal surgery.  He is considered a center of excellence for Robotic Colorectal Surgery.  As the Chair of Emory Healthcare’s Robotic Surgery Committee he has directed initiatives related to robotic surgery credentialing and privileging, resident education, clinical quality and research.

Chris Stallings

Manager, Sterile Reprocessing Support, Intuitive

Chris Stallings serves as the Manager for Sterile Reprocessing Support Americas for Intuitive Surgical. He has been with Intuitive Surgical for 8 years holding various positions within the service organization. Five years ago, he was tasked with creating and implementing cleaning and sterilization support for our da Vinci customers. The Sterile Reprocessing Support team was formed shortly after with the goal of providing customers exceptional training and education on proper handling and reprocessing of da Vinci instruments, accessories and endoscopes. Since then he has continued to grow his knowledge on device reprocessing, standards and regulations worldwide by continuing to visit and educate customers regularly.

Darin Swainston

Director of Robotics, Summerlin, Las Vegas, NV

With a medical career spanning over two decades, Dr. Darin Swainston has had the privilege of helping thousands of women in the Las Vegas Valley. Born and raised in Nevada, he attended medical school at the University of Nevada Reno and started his practice in 1995. He is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Obsterics and Gynecology and has been a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1998.

Dr. Swainston is a robotic pioneer in women’s health in the Las Vegas valley. In 2013, he became the director of minimally invasive care and robotics at Summerlin Hospital and accepted a position as an advanced course instructor with Intuitive. Dr. Swainston is proud to be able to offer women virtually scarless surgery, preserving their physical appearance (cosmesis) as much as possible. It is important to him to be at the forefront of medical technology to ensure women get the best care possible.
