Diane Amaral BSN, RN, CNOR is the Robotics Coordinator for Hoag Memorial Hospital, Presbyterian in Newport Beach, Ca. She is also the Clinical Line Manager for Gynecology, Urology and Breast Surgery with Oncoplastic Reconstruction. Diane contributes and helped to establish Hoag’s dual Centers of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology and Robotics and attends the monthly Robotic meetings. She is in charge of scheduling and placement of robotic cases and works closely with her surgeons on preference cards, operational projects, in-services and training for staff.

Allyson Brooks, MD is the Chief Quality Officer, Hoag and the Ginny Ueberroth Executive Medical Director Endowed Chair of the Women’s Health Institute at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian where she is responsible for establishing Hoag as a center of excellence in women’s health and wellness, and oversees the components and services. In April 2015 she was one of ten physician executives to complete a nationally acclaimed two-year fellowship in leadership from the Health Management Academy. Dr. Brooks has an extensive background in leadership at Hoag since joining its medical staff in 1993. In addition to her three year term on the Medical Executive Committee and as Chair of the Department of OB/Gyn, Dr. Brooks was an elected physician member of the Hoag Board of Trustees for six years including being Chair of the Quality Improvement Committee of the Board for four years.

Dr. Brooks is a board-certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and an AAGL Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG™) designee, who recently retired after 21 years in private practice in Newport Beach. During the course of her clinical practice Dr. Brooks delivered over 2,000 babies, provided comprehensive and compassionate health care to women of all life stages and from ages 12 through 92, performed over 1,000 minimally invasive gynecologic surgical procedures including robotic- and laparoscopic-assisted hysterectomies, achieved the coveted designation as a physician of excellence in minimally invasive gynecology from the AAGL (American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists), received Most Compassionate and Best Doctor awards, and was recognized as one of the top 10 people to watch in Newport Beach by Newport Beach Magazine.

Michael Ricks joined Hoag in July 2015 as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, Michael is responsible for the day to day operations at the Newport Beach and Irvine campuses for Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and its Health Centers throughout Orange County. Hoag is home to multiple nationally recognized clinical institutes, and is regarded by as being one of the top performing hospitals in America.

Mr. Ricks has more than 18 years of leadership experience in health care. He has served in various leadership capacities for nationally recognized organizations including Sentara Healthcare and Dignity Health. His prior experience as a COO and Hospital President/CEO provided him with extensive experience in collaborating with physicians to develop nationally recognized clinical service lines, driving improvements in patient experience and employee engagement and achieving industry leading financial performance.

Mr. Ricks earned his bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University and a Master of Health Administration degree at Washington University’s School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He was born in Laguna Beach and returned to his home county with his wife, Heather, and three children.
